From Motocross to Momentum: Aaron Morgan’s Pursuit of Performance After SCI

By October 28, 2025No Comments

Immersed in Action Sports

Aaron Morgan spent his early years immersed in action sports. Whether it was motocross, rugby, or mountain biking, movement was central to how he experienced the world. After sustaining a spinal cord injury, that movement looked different but his mindset remained the same: keep pushing forward.

Redefining What Training Looks Like

Following his injury, Aaron shifted his focus from competitive racing to rehabilitation. With a passion for fitness and self-discipline already built into his lifestyle, he sought solutions that could help him continue training.
That’s when he was introduced to Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and the RT300. Rather than viewing it as a medical device, Aaron approached it like he would any performance tool: something that needed to work hard, deliver results, and fit into a consistent routine.

“The RT300 gave me a way to train my lower body like I do my upper body. It brought structure back into my recovery.”

Creating a Recovery Routine at Home

For Aaron, recovery doesn’t happen in isolated moments. It happens when therapy becomes part of everyday life. Having access to the RT300 at home allowed him to build consistency without relying solely on outpatient visits or clinic schedules.

This access was especially meaningful during periods when travel or in-person therapy wasn’t possible. The RT300 allowed him to stay engaged, track progress, and maintain muscle health without interruption.

Performance as a Mindset

Even though his days of motocross competition were behind him, Aaron found new purpose in adaptive car racing. He stayed connected to the same drive and focus that shaped his life before injury. Recovery became less about what was lost and more about discovering new ways to move forward. The RT300 aligned with that mindset, as it allowed him to stay physically engaged, build consistency in his routine, and continue investing in his long-term health.
