A Clinical Continuation of Care at Home

At Restorative Therapies, we see every clinician as a partner in changing lives. You’ve been giving your patients hope, progress, and the chance to feel stronger through FES therapy. For many individuals recovering from neurological impairment, those moments in your care are more than therapy, they’re proof that improved outcomes are possible.

When your patients leave the clinic, that hope doesn’t have to end.

Most patients continue to respond positively to FES therapy at home, finding renewed confidence, strength, and independence. With your support, they can carry forward the progress they began under your guidance. Your referral gives the patient a chance to continue progress at home and we thank you for believing in their potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I refer someone through RTI's Home Therapy Hub?

When you submit a referral to the Home Therapy Hub, our team begins a structured, clinically supported process designed to make home-based therapy with the RT300 or Xcite2 clear, accessible, and safe.  Every part of the process aligns with our mission to extend clinical-level integrated Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) therapy into the home.

1. Initial Contact and Documentation Gathering
Within one business day, a dedicated Patient Advocate reaches out to review their goals, answer questions, and explain the next steps. This includes confirming the diagnosis, discussing therapy needs, and identifying the most appropriate system for home use.

2. Coverage and Funding Options
Our team helps you research all available funding pathways, including insurance, alternate programs, loans, and other options based on location/situation. This ensures the referred individual gets a clear understanding of what is covered and what potential resources are available.

3. Professional Home Installation and Training
For approved individuals, a trained clinician completes the installation at your home, ensuring optimal safety and correct setup. This includes personalized instruction, allowing the user or caregiver to begin therapy with confidence.

4. Ongoing Clinical and Technical Support
Our team continues to support the individual with training guidance, remote assistance, software updates, and troubleshooting. This long-term support is part of what makes home therapy successful and sustainable.

What long-term health benefits do FES home-based systems provide?

Home-based Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) systems like the RT300 and Xcite2 provide ongoing access to FDA-cleared therapeutic benefits that help support long-term neuromuscular health. Regular use can help relax muscle spasms, prevent muscle atrophy, re-educate muscles, increase local blood circulation, and maintain or increase range of motion. For individuals recovering at home, consistent FES-evoked activity offers a way to mitigate secondary complications, while maintaining muscle health between clinical visits. These benefits align with evidence showing that continued home-based FES supports safer movement patterns, improved muscle activation, and long-term functional maintenance.
