You should consider the optional arm crank if you also want to increase activity in your arms. If your arm function is impaired an arm crank with FES may be a good option.

The RT300 is not suitable if:

1. you have a cardiac demand pacemaker

2. unhealed fractures in the lower extremities

3. you are pregnant

The RT300 is a prescribed device and you will need to be assessed and prescribed the device by your physician before purchasing a system.

How much effort will be required by me?

A therapy program needs to be designed specifically for you by your clinician. Research suggests that at least one hour of leg therapy three times per week is probably required in order to achieve significant benefit.

What does the internet connection do?

The RT300's internet connection allows your RT300 to link to a database across the web. The ability for you and your clinician to monitor your progress and the collection of FES data for research are essential elements of a 21st century FES system.

The RT300 uses the internet connection to save all of your therapy settings and results. This allows your therapist to monitor your progress and advance your therapy no matter where you live. Of course you can also log on to view your own results and join the RT300 user forum. You will also receive a weekly email detailing your progress.

You will need to have an internet connection such as cable, DSL or dial up to utilize this feature.

Why is Dynamic Motor Support important?

The RT300's software dynamically controls the motor to maximize your performance and outcomes. We call this Dynamic Motor Support.

The motor speed, resistance and torque (how hard it turns the crank) are all automatically responsive to your performance and your phase of therapy - whether you are in the warm-up, active or cool-down phase.

FES cycles that do not have a motor are reliant on manual intervention which produces inconsistent and sub-optimal therapy for you.

FES cycles that have a separate stimulator "bolted on" lack software control of the motor requiring you to manually set a fixed motor speed for the session. These systems are not responsive to your performance and deliver sub-optimal therapy for you.

How will RTI service my system ?

The RT300 is a very reliable device however if something does go wrong, the RT300's modular design allows us to easily send you a replacement part.

We have also established a relationship with a nationwide in-home service organization who are qualified to provide in-home installation and service of RTI's products if necessary. Our primary goal is always to keep you riding!

How long will my system take to be delivered ?

We can usually ship your system as soon as we receive your order. If your system requires home installation we will arrange a date for this prior to shipping your system.
